jung eun park is featured today on dailyserving.com
the drawing on there is really nice.
i looked at some more work and loved these:

i was initially attracted to this work cause i have been using coffee and tea for staining alot, and also hand sewing the paper. the last two drawings i did i used red thread too, partially cause it reminds me of cowboys, and also because i like the contrast between the overall, immediate, desaturated palette and subtle, but strong, red details.
"When I work, I place the large paper on the floor, sit on the paper, or sometimes lie down, and draw something not only in large scale, but also with very tiny details. Therefore, I can feel the touch and the smell of paper with all of my body and senses. It makes me enjoy the moment not only physically, but also psychologically. In the meantime, the paper can be another world where I can imagine and communicate with myself." (www.juneunpark.com)
when i work its usually sitting or standing on the large paper, and when sewing i am under the paper, flipping it around on top of me like a quilt. and i really like this physical relationship to the drawing, being the small maker. psychologically i am connected with the work because its my family, and through these drawings i am making my connection to their pasts.
coincidentally, i found another jung eun park. who is an illustrator/designer. also born in korea.

red thread!

i can't copy and pictures from the site, so CHECK IT OUT. really.
half of the day i've been on the internet, tempted to call it wasting time, mostly avoiding unpacking and organizing my life at my parents house, but i think its been a pretty fruitful internet adventure. stealing music and inspiration. finding out that "jung eun park" in korean means "super art star"
